Pocket Finance Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 19, 2026

The short version

Your financial information stays on your phone. Pocket Finance doesn’t collect it, can’t see it, and never sells or shares it.

This policy covers the Pocket Finance app for iPhone and the website pocketfinance.io, operated by Pocket Finance, LLC (“we”). It takes effect on the date this page is published.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter stays on your device: income, bills, Big Bills, savings goals, debts, notes and settings. It is stored in the app’s own storage on your phone and is never sent to us or to any server.

Deleting the app, or using Clear All Data in Settings, removes it from your phone.

What we don’t do

Backups, Face ID and notifications

Backups. A backup is made only when you tap Back Up. The file is created on your phone, and you choose where it goes (Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop or elsewhere). Once you send it somewhere, that service’s own privacy policy applies. Restoring reads only the file you pick.

Your phone’s own backups. If you use iCloud Backup or back up your iPhone to a computer, iOS includes the app’s data in that backup, under Apple’s policy. The app itself never sends it anywhere.

Face ID. Face ID is handled by iOS. The app only learns whether unlocking succeeded and never sees your face data.

Notifications. Reminders are scheduled by the app on your phone, not sent from a server. They are off until you turn them on, and the optional payday tip contains no amounts or names.

When you email us

If you write to support@pocketfinance.io, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to reply to you and to improve the app, and we don’t share it.

The app’s Send Feedback button opens an email with only the app version in the subject. Nothing from your plan is added. You can ask us to delete your emails at any time.

Support emails are stored with our email provider, which handles them on our behalf. We keep them only as long as needed to help you and keep a record of that help, and then delete them.

Your privacy rights

The only personal information we ever hold is email you choose to send us. Depending on where you live (for example California, the European Union or the United Kingdom), you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email support@pocketfinance.io and we’ll respond within the time the law requires.

We do not sell or share your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising. Where EU or UK law applies, we use your email on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to you, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Keeping your data safe

Your plan lives on your iPhone and is protected by your device’s own security, including your passcode and, if you turn it on, Face ID lock in the app. Because we never receive your plan, we can’t see it, recover it or restore it for you. Keeping a backup is the way to protect it if you lose or replace your phone.

Apple, children, changes and contact

Apple. Apple handles downloads, purchases and the App Store under its own privacy policy. If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in iPhone Settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash and usage statistics that can’t identify you. You can turn this off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

Children. Pocket Finance isn’t directed at children under 13. The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes. If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and its effective date. If the app ever starts collecting any data, we’ll say so here and in the app before it happens.

Contact. Questions about privacy: support@pocketfinance.io.
